Progression Module Intent

We aim to prepare students for their future career by fostering ambition and aspirations. The Progression Module gives students the experience and the tools to plan effectively the next stage of their career journey.

Confident Learners

Confident Communicators

Confident Future Citizens

To create confident learners, the Progression Module curriculum is:

  • University accredited
  • Delivered by careers experts.
  • Designed so all Level 3 students can gain the qualification.

To create confident communicators, the Progression Module curriculum:

Allows students the opportunities to present themselves on paper, in presentations and 1:1. This develops oral and written skills to make them confident communicators.

To create confident future citizens, the Progression Module curriculum:

Focuses on ambitious and aspirational plans for post 18.This prepares our students to take their place in society, whatever their next steps are after leaving our academy.

The Progression Module curriculum provides opportunities for all to:

  • Develop resilience.
  • Make appropriate future plans
  • To learn how to adjust if plans have to be changed.

The Progression Module curriculum provides opportunities for all to:

Carry out detailed individual research which includes primary and secondary research.

This culminates in writing a personal statement for university or employment which is the ultimate communication tool.

The Progression Module curriculum provides opportunities for all to:

Listen, access, participate, lead, share and discuss the options and opportunities available, both locally and nationally. By doing this students will be equipped to take their place in British society.
