"This school is more than just a school. It is a place you can come and feel like yourself. I have made many friends. I really think you should send your daughter here because the teachers are very sweet and supportive. The teachers really care about your learning and feelings" Inayah, Year 7

From one of our new Year 7 students...

Good evening,

When I found out I was coming to Belle Vue Girls’ Academy I was very happy. But as I was the only one from my primary school, I had a lot of questions in my head. What if I don’t fit in? What if I don’t make any friends? I was actually really nervous and worried on the first day but that soon changed.

This school is more than just a school. It is a place you can come and feel like yourself. I have made many friends. I really think you should send your daughter here because the teachers are very sweet and supportive. The teachers really care about your learning and feelings.

The students and staff have made me laugh so much. In the first week my friends asked Mr Mulligan if he and Mr Hirst were brothers. This made us laugh so much and we still laugh about it when we remember because they don’t look alike.

My favourite lessons are English, Art, Drama and Science. I hated Maths but thanks to my new teachers I enjoy it a lot more, I can almost say I love Maths, almost. My form tutor is filled with positive energy, she makes me laugh and makes my day much brighter.

My pastoral manager has been there for me and my friends since day one. She always seems to be around when you need her. I have gotten lost several times and the older students have helped me get to my classes, they are really caring and always look out for you.

I have laughed and learnt a lot in the few weeks I have been here. I think the next 7 years are going to be the best years of my life.

I would like to say Thank You to all the staff at Belle Vue.

Thank You.
