Equipment and uniform

Uniform – Year 7 to 11

_{Students are expected to arrive at school in the correct uniform, ready to learn. All uniform items are stocked by Rawcliffes and Natasha’s in Bradford.}  

From September 2025 three new optional items are being introduced. Students can continue to wear the current uniform. 

• Black round neck Belle Vue sweatshirt, which can be worn instead of the Belle Vue blazer 
• Black Belle Vue polo shirt, which can be worn instead of the white school shirt

Belle Vue Girls' Academy Uniform: 

• BVGA blazer 
• Plain white shirt or blouse  
• Plain black trousers, skirt, abaya or tunic  
• Optional red/black academy sleeveless jumper with logo, or a plain black jumper, worn under the blazer 
• Optional plain black headscarf 
• Plain black flat shoes, trainers or boots 
• BVGA Lanyard & ID card (issued by the academy)

Students are not allowed to wear:

• Outdoor clothing (coats, hats, scarves) inside the building   
• Jeans, hoodies or jumpers with logos or zips
• Hoop or drop earrings, rings, bracelets, or necklaces  
• False nails / painted nails.   
• Very subtle, natural make-up is acceptable for older students

At Belle Vue we have followed the guidance and ensured that that the cost of school uniforms is reasonable and secures the best value for money. If you require support with uniform please get in touch with your daughter's Pastoral Manager. 

Uniform – Sixth Form 

Sixth form students are required to dress smartly and be well-presented

• Clothing must be appropriate for the school environment (no ripped clothing or offensive slogans)
• Sensible flat or low heeled shoes, trainers or boots with backs
• Lanyards must be worn at all times with the photo ID showing.

Physical Education

From September 2025 a new black and red Belle Vue PE shirt is being introduced.  Students can continue to wear the current blue PE shirt in September, but we ask that you purchase the new shirt during the course of the year. 

• Royal blue polo shirt with academy logo 
• Navy Blue or black jumper with logo (optional) 
• Navy Blue or black jog bottoms 
• If you wish to wear a headscarf for PE, elasticated headscarves are required 
• Sports trainers

In addition:

• A sensible bag for books and equipment 
• A reading book
