Reading and The Hub
The Hub is open for students every day at these times:
- 7.30 - 8.15am for before school reading, study and activities
- Every break time and all lunchtimes
- 2.50 - 4.00pm for after school reading, study and activities on Monday and Wednesday.
Welcome to the Hub!
I’m Mrs Brewis, your school librarian, and I welcome you to this comfortable and enjoyable space where students connect with each other, themselves, and the world around them. Students have access to a wide variety of books, newspapers, activities, and games for them to enjoy, as well as a comfortable and enjoyable space for study.
The Hub is home to our extensive library and to our resource centre, where we have IT resources and study areas for students to use during their study and social times.
Sixth Form students have access to The Hub during their study periods for quiet study and reflection.
A library plays a vital role in students’ schooling. It serves as a central hub for learning, while providing resources to help students achieve academic success.
Library staff encourage all students to be Confident Learners, Confident Communicators, and Confident Future Citizens by helping them to develop the skills to access resources efficiently, effectively, and independently.
“A book is a dream that you hold in your hand.” – Neil Gaiman
